Joao Carlos Sutemi was born at Sao Paulo and lived there until he was 22.His musical roots come since young age, circa 1994 he was already into Jungle.This early interest brought him great references and his music hunger was fed every weekend with artists that commanded the national and international grid,at one of the busiest scenes at that moment.But it was only later,in 2001,he would feel confident to put his musical knowledge in practice and start spinninf the tunes. After a while, he stopped his jungle/drum ..n..bass direction, but didnt give up the dark side of the force,by setting up a new path on 2001 : darkpsychedelic music.Two years later,he got the attention of friends and organizers,who started to help him along his way ? invitations and recommendations happening a lot. Nowadays he lives at Curitiba (south of Brazil) where he has his own party crew,hMakunbah,hosting serious artists ranging from minimal techno to darkpsychedelic.Hefs part of the cast from the acknowledged Dead Tree Productions,first underground brazilian label ? hefs also at the Temple Twisters and D-A-R-K Records Artist Rosters,being the official brazilian rep for both Indian labels.Joao also holds residency at some of the best events in the mature scene,such as Etnica (Sao Paulo) and Cosmoon (Curitiba).4ideas Artist Management (4am) is doing his bookings and just recently he got invited to join two well-respected orgs:Factory , a strong crew at Belo Horizontefs club scene and 11Hz Recordings , label from Rio de Janeiro releasing fat minimal and techno beats ; this consolidates his new musical journey exploring the low beat possibilities.
